WTC is Legacy
Established in 1958, WTC is an historically Black tennis club. Woodford was formed during the beginning of the Civil Rights Movement by a select group of working class men and women with a vision. Its founding members chose not to wait for inclusion, but instead to create their own space, which has endured and flourished, for decades, through an ever-evolving social climate.
WTC is Fitness
The sport of tennis is known to provide a plethora of physical and mental benefits. At WTC you can improve your strength, flexibility, agility, speed, muscle tone, overall conditioning and hand/ body coordination, with a variety of activities that WTC offers. As well, tennis supports emotional soundness and well-being, which permeates your everyday life.
WTC is Community
Besides a passion for tennis, WTC has smaller groups that go biking and bowling together. WTC's network of friends and business associates also come together to create and support community programs that champion health, academic and entrepreneurial ideals. Additionally WTC is an indoor/ outdoor event space, where you, your family and friends can have celebrations at affordable rates.
